What are Daphnia?
Daphnia are crustaceans, like crabs and lobsters and in keeping with most arthropods, have a hard, outer shell.
They are essentially fresh water animals, commonly called 'water fleas', this is only because of the manner by which they swim - a sort of hopping or jigging in the water, a movement brought about by their swimming appendages.
Live Daphnia should be feed in along with regular dry foods to provide your fish with the nutrition and proteins they need for colour and growth.
